Buried Soul

Updated: Feb 1

Person walking on a foggy pier over a calm lake, surrounded by mist. The atmosphere is serene and mysterious.

"Time stretched out like an endless desert, each grain of sand a moment of despair. The horizon offered no hope, only the stark reality of an existence lived in the shadows. Eternity beckoned, a distant promise of peace, a homecoming to a place where the buried soul could finally find rest..."

When you want to die but you can't

When you're screaming [inside] but no one can hear

When you are surrounded by faces but feel alone

When you lay to rest and sleep is absent

When another day rises and there's no escape

There's no grave deep enough

No wave strong enough

No cave dark enough...to cover me whole

I walk this life a buried soul

Sifting through time

Waiting for eternity... to welcome me home
