This is a recent photo (summer 2022) of my childhood home, the infamous house at 1408 Palisade Avenue. In honor of National Paranormal Day, I'm compelled to share a story that has haunted my family for decades and continues to unravel its secrets.

My family originally purchased this two-story home in 1987 when I was nine years old. We immediately made changes, including finishing the basement, which transformed the structure into a three-story multifamily home for my late uncle.

From the moment we moved in, there's been a long-standing history of paranormal activity witnessed by most, if not all, of our family. We suffered tragedies and trauma as a result, experiences that, for some of us, have regrettably followed into our present day.

Unearthing the House's Dark Secrets

Because of the lasting impact this house had on my family, I became determined to research its history and uncover the secrets that truly lay within its walls. My journey began around 2010. What I discovered was far more than I anticipated, revealing unexpected findings that eerily filled in the missing parts of our supernatural experiences.

I started to gather my collection of findings and prepare to write a book. During the process, however, I was unfortunately forced to discontinue. The secrets I was uncovering were not just historical facts; they were coming with stern warnings that made it impossible to proceed at that time. (I am planning to start up again and complete the book!)

A Story That Remains Part of Us

You can choose to believe or not believe, but this house and its history are undeniably a vital part of my past and my family, remaining so even up until this day. The experiences shaped us in profound ways.
