A Journey of Faith, Family, and Finding Purpose: My Story with Voyage Baltimore

When I received an email from Voyage Baltimore's editorial staff, Camila Sanchez, my heart swelled. They'd received an anonymous recommendation about Budget Genealogy and were interested in hearing my story. After a year marked by the profound loss of my son, Joshua, this unexpected opportunity felt like a beacon of hope—a chance to share how faith can truly turn our greatest tragedies into ultimate triumphs.

For weeks, I corresponded with Camila, and on Friday, March 17, St. Patrick's Day, I completed the online interview and curated a collection of photographs for the upcoming article. You might be wondering, "What exactly is Voyage Baltimore?" I asked myself the same question! A quick search revealed their powerful mission: to connect communities by providing a platform where our stories and journeys can inspire others to pursue their dreams. This mission deeply resonated with me, mirroring our own goal at Budget Genealogy to help individuals connect with their past and unlock their unique family narratives.

Voyage Baltimore 's goal is to help hard-working, inspiring people tell their stories authentically and in their own words.

Having just completed the first year since losing my son Joshua, reaching this moment — after all I've walked through and continue to navigate daily — truly means more than words can express for me and my family

What often felt impossible, weighed down by grief, sorrow, and pain, was now finally within my reach.

God can turn our greatest tragedies into our ultimate triumph.

My deepest gratitude goes to God for leading me through immense darkness and grief. Many days felt impossible, but my faith, trust, and surrender to this journey have brought me to this very moment.

I'm truly grateful to Voyage Baltimore for giving me this platform and for featuring me among inspiring individuals. My hope is to touch even one soul, knowing that one person's upliftment can ripple out to many.
