An UPDATE regarding my absence last year:

Shortly after my story and Budget Genealogy were featured in this magazine article, life threw more challenges my way. The tragic loss of my son led to the end of my marriage and left me uncertain about how to rebuild life with my youngest son.

I had to step away from Budget Genealogy and face these challenges head-on. Still, my passion for genealogy never faded, and I’ve been waiting for the time to begin anew. That time has come.

As I embark on this next chapter, I’m reminded of a quote by C.S. Lewis:

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”
