After Publication: An Update & New Chapter for Budget Genealogy
Shortly after Budget Genealogy and my story were featured in the Voyage Baltimore article, life presented unimaginable challenges. The tragic loss of my son ultimately led to the end of my marriage, leaving me uncertain how to rebuild life with my youngest son.
I had to step away from Budget Genealogy to face these personal trials head-on. Despite the hiatus, my passion for genealogy never faded. I've been waiting for the right moment to begin anew, and that time has finally arrived.
As I embark on this next chapter, I'm reminded of C.S. Lewis's profound words:
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”
Rejoining the Journey: Uncovering the Past, Building the Future
This quote perfectly encapsulates where I stand today. While the past few years have been incredibly difficult, they've also solidified my resolve to move forward, to heal, and to fully re-engage with the work I love. My commitment to helping others discover their family stories is stronger than ever.
I invite you to rejoin me on this exciting journey—uncovering the past and propelling forward into the future of our ever-growing global family tree. This is more than just research for me; it's about connection, resilience, and honoring those who came before us by understanding their lives.
