I'm Marcy Baez Lopez, formerly Bachelor. I am a faith-driven woman, bereaved mother, homeschool parent, part-time caregiver, and an entrepreneur: genealogist,  blogger, visionary, photographer, writer, speaker, ministry leader, prayer warrior. And evolving as I continue to do life.

As a multi-faceted woman in my late-40s, I aim to inspire through my experiences and passions.

My journey with Jesus began almost 26 years ago, with my baptism on Memorial weekend in May 1999. Writing and photography have been lifelong passions, but I discovered genealogy in my early 20s, around the time my grandmother passed away in February 2005. At that moment, as I held her father’s funeral card revealing his name, William Horacio Vargas, a new chapter in my life began.

Today, I navigate life as a divorced single mother, a role that includes honoring the memory of my late son, Joshua, who passed away on February 5, 2022, at the age of 23. I am also the mother of twins Angel and Blessing, early 20s, and Gabriel, late teens. I experienced the loss of another child, Daniel, back in March 2006, and our beloved family cat, Princess Junebug, who passed away only six months before Joshua in 2021.

Family is everything to me, as you will see throughout this blog. Since launching this platform in the spring of 2021, my vision has evolved, especially after Joshua’s passing. My focus now includes honoring his legacy and expanding his work while continuing to share my journey and the stories of those who have influenced my life.
