BUDGET GENEALOGY Tracing Lines at an Affordable Price
Her Background
Marcy began helping others build their family history after tracing some of her ancestors back to the early 1600s; 12 generations (10th great-grandparents) and built a family tree of more than 4000 people. In addition to her 18+ years of genealogy experience, she co-founded and volunteers for a non-profit organization, Genealogy Detectives, as an administrator and served as a writer/editor/publicist for both print and electronic publications. She holds certificates in Genealogical Basics and Research, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Writing and Publishing. She has also completed a workshop focused in Family History Writing and been in attendance to other genealogy seminars and conferences.
Marcy uses a combination of genetic genealogy and traditional research to help clients break through genealogy brick walls. She enjoys digging into her projects and cases to find often overlooked clues to resolve family mysteries. Her love of history and focus on detail provides clients with answers to even the most difficult research questions. She has helped decipher handwritten records, discover passenger lists for immigrant ancestors and their locations of origin.
When she’s not digging up buried family history, she homeschools, blogs, enjoys nature walks and photography, and is an avid reader and lifelong student.
